Van Mahotsav Day

“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The next time is today.”

Trees are of great importance to our lives and environment. They serve us with food and oxygen and both are equally important for us. They have been very much beneficial to us in terms of shelter, medicines, herbals and more. The benefits from trees have been increasing with time and advancement.

So plant a tree today if you have not done it yet !

Due to development, the rate of deforestation has increased leading to pollution and global warming. There is a need to take initiative of planting more and more trees and saving the existing trees.

Van Mahotsav is a tree-planting festival being celebrated in India in the first week of July every year by planting tree saplings in the surroundings, gardens, or forests. The festival initially started in the year 1950 by the Ministry for Agriculture. Every year, millions of saplings are planted all across India during this week.

As part of our CSR activity and our responsibility towards environment, Propiti family planted saplings in the lawn at the premises on 7th July this year. Everyone was so excited for the activity and started it with great enthusiasm.

Being an open source company, Propiti has always been concerned to the benefits of Open Source community and contributing to the benefit of the society.
